Located 77km away from Paris, this castle nicknamed "Little Norman Versailles" used to be the house of many important figures for the French History such as the Duke of Belle-Isle (grandson of Nicolas Fouquet), the Duke of Penthièvre or the last King of the French Louis-Philippe. Now owned by the descendants of the Marshal Suchet and the family Bonaparte, this still inhabited castle and its 20 hectares of gardens are open to visit from April to November. INFORMATION : - The inside of the castle can ONLY be visited with a guide at : 10:30 am, 11:15 am, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm. - The visit of the gardens can be done on your own from 10 am to 6 pm. - A salon de thé is here on site for you to eat and drink. - Private tours and lunch are possible on demand by quotation.
