About
From the early 17th century, La Couture-Boussey and its surroundings have been well-known for their woodwind instrument making. The instrument makers related to this area were pivotal to any evolution of flutes, obeos and clarinets. The tradition is today continued by a hundred workers and four firms sending instruments and accessories all over the world. In 1888, local workers founded the Woodwind instruments Museum to promote their art.
