Jardins d'Etretat
About
The Jardins d'Etretat is a cliff‑top experimental topiary garden perched on the dramatic Côte d’Albâtre of Normandy. Conceived by landscape architect Alexander Grivko, it is organized into seven thematic sections—Avatar, Impressions, Amont, Zen, Aval, La Manche, and Émotions—each telling its own story about the region’s natural and cultural heritage. At its centre stands a swirling topiary whirlpool that embodies renewal, while a series of contemporary sculptures playfully interact with the manicured vegetation. Awarded two Michelin Guide stars in the Green Guide and honoured with a European Garden Award for restoration, the gardens have become a celebrated living gallery that attracts both art lovers and families alike. Visitors can stroll along safe, wide paths, enjoy panoramic views of the English Channel, and explore temporary exhibitions that bring modern art into dialogue with the landscape.
