About

The "Travers de Pechméjà" is located in the Quercy ... in the country of Figeac-Cajarc, land of contrasts, wedged between the valleys of the Lot and of the Célé in the South-West of France. It is at the same time the country of the stone and the kingdom of underground waters. The region witnesses of the one hundred years war between France and England, centuries ago.

Our property is in a beautiful timbered, wild and preserved environment, at the edge of the National park of Causes of Quercy, where you can find an exceptional series of sites and monuments created by nature and by men. It is also in a privileged position to benefit from one of the last “black triangles” of France, where you can observe at night the sky with a never seen before purity. The area is strewn with medieval cities which all can be reached in between 10 to maximum 60 minutes driving.

The authentic and renovated guest house of the 18th century is on nearly 1 ha of garden and wood, surrounded with dry stone low walls. The property is located in “Lissac and Mouret” about 10 min drive to Figeac, in the middle of an environment remarkably preserved and diversified with a splendid sight on the valley. The land is in “restanque” or different levels due to past wine plantings. The swimming pool with its wooden beach can be reached one level down the garden level and has sight on the valley.

The guest house has been recently renovated with all modern comfort while respecting its authenticity. It is accessible from a parking lot besides the departmental 2. The living space is on the ground floor. It is pleasantly furnished and consists of a lounge / dining room with a superb cantou (the authentic fireplace). The kitchen is fully equipped. Guests have access to the terrace with table and chairs ... and of course a beautiful view over the valley, facing south.

One bedroom with double bed is in the attic with its own bathroom and toilet. The second bedroom with three single beds is at the ground-garden. It also has its own bathroom and toilet and gives direct access to the bread oven and garden terrace. There is therefore room for 5 people in total.

We regularly organize "table d'hôte" with pleasure and you'll find as well many little restaurants which proudly propose their typical local gastronomy.

If you like smooth hiking ... walking on the chemins de Saint Jacques de Compostelle will suit both professionals as amateurs.
You'll love it!
