The Musée Christian Dior – Villa Les Rhumbs places visitors in the heart of a storied fashion legacy, perched on a cliff overlooking the Normandy coast. The museum itself houses a three‑level villa that chronicles the evolution of Dior from childhood sketches to haute couture masterpieces, with about 3,000 objects on permanent loan from the family archives. Although the museum premises are currently closed pending a planned reopening in April 2026, the surrounding gardens remain open to the public all year round, free of charge. These gardens offer a tranquil promenade lined with roses, primulas, and towering pines that once inspired the legendary designer. Visitors can stroll through the gardens at any time; seasonal hours vary by month but always open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in peak months, earlier in winter, and earlier again in early spring. The garden features a water feature, a pergola, and furniture designed by a young Christian Dior, as well as a terrace providing panoramic sea views. After a leisurely walk, guests can ascend the simple steps of the villa’s stairway to the museum’s entrance, where online tickets can now be booked at the official billetterie. Reservations are highly recommended during the museum’s temporary exhibitions but are not mandatory for garden visits. Parking is available outside the garden area; interior parking is not permitted.
