Chavant - Bresson
About
This charming ivy-covered country manor, located in Bresson – only minutes away from Grenoble, is definitely a top dining destination for all serious francophilic foodies. Awarded four Michelin forks and voted as one of the best gourmet restaurants in the county, Chavant opened as a restaurant in 1852, and the dining room – with its open fireplace, fresh flowers and wood-panelled walls – reflects the classic menu which features regional dishes and fresh seafood. Run by Daniele and Jean-Pierre Chavant, the kitchen is renowned for its signature dishes such as lobster served in a creamy truffle sauce; the venison baked with apples, potatoes and turnips in a daube sauce. Chavant's wine list was designed by famed sommelier Jean-Charles Pourzeratte.
