Silver Cross winery is the only Vineyard planted on former WW1 trenches. Located at the most Northern tip of the Ypres Salient, it was a 100 years ago a place of horror and devastation. Now it's peacefull and quiet and bringing a positive story. Look what wonderfull products can be made here. Concentrating on the production of Sparkling wines, it is no surprise that most grape varieties are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Meunier. Filip, the winemaker, also makes a fabulous licquor: The Wipers Time. Learn all there is to know about growing wine, visit the winery and see for yourselves how methode traditionnelle sparkling wines are made.
