About
Welcome to 15,000 years ago! In 1950, some Upper Palaeolithic wall sculptures were discovered in Angles-sur-l'Anglin. The stone cavings of bison, horses, ibex, big cats and even human faces revealed a surprising anatomical accuracy and technica ability. Evidence of signifiant human presence was also uncovered: flint tools, bones and even mammoth ivory... Le Roc-aux-Sorciers interpretation centre makes this major prehistoric art accessible to visitor (the original must be preserved).
