Naturospace
About
The Naturospace Serre tropicale, situated in the heart of Honfleur, is a world‑class tropical butterfly and bird sanctuary that transports visitors to a living, humid rainforest. With a constant climate of 25–28 °C, hundreds of rare orchids, sisal mangroves and a vast array of tropical flowers, the 1,000 m² greenhouse offers intimate encounters with more than 1,000 butterflies from the Americas, Asia and Africa, as well as an extensive aviary of exotic birds. Guided walks lead you through themed corridors, showcasing butterfly life cycles, plant‑pollinator interactions and educational displays. The 65‑minute guided tour features a short documentary in the visitor centre, followed by a free‑roaming butterfly walk that people of all ages can enjoy. The vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff and free parking make Naturospace an ideal destination for families, birdwatchers, school excursions and nature enthusiasts. Admission to the sanctuary opens from 9:30 a.m. and closes at 6:30 p.m. year‑round (with a brief holiday pause on 11 Nov. to early Feb.), while amusement collections and exhibits run until 7:30 p.m. to accommodate early evening crowds.
