La Cabourne - Group Accommodation - For 13 to 53 People - Saint Privat d'Allier The gite "la Cabourne" was completely renovated in 2012. We are located in Auvergne, specifically in the department of Haute Loire, 15 minutes away from Le Puy-en-Velay and in the heart of the Allier Gorges. With a maximum capacity of 53 beds, la Cabourne can accommodate you for a stopover on the Route of Santiago de Compostela, for a family gathering, a birthday, a wedding, a family reunion, or a seminar. We are also an "Accommodation Center for Backpackers" on the first official stop of the Route of Santiago de Compostela, on the GR 40, and close to the path of the Allier Gorges. Renovated in 2012 in a modern and warm style. You can sleep in comfortable and spacious rooms for 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 people on site. We offer you half-board formulas (tasting of local products at the guest table of Helene) or full-board ones throughout the year, from March 15 to November 15. From November 16 to March 14, we can offer you self-catering accommodation with the provision of a kitchen. You have two large halls, an outdoor space of 900 m2, and a terrace overlooking the Allier Gorges at your disposal. You can enjoy activities to be performed on site or nearby (supervised swimming in July and August in the Allier, rafting, canyoning, horseback riding, gliding, and mountain biking, among others). Nine hiking trails from the gite will be offered to you on your arrival (a walk from 2.5 to 10 km). You can visit, among others, the city of Le Puy-en-Velay which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Brioude and its Basilica of Saint Julian, and Saugues and its legendary Beast of Gevaudan. There are many festivals to punctuate your holidays (Chaise-Dieu Festival, Celtic Music Festival of Gevaudan, Bird King Renaissance Festival, Festival of Brass of Monastier-sur-Gazeille, and Country Music Festival of Craponne-sur-Arzon, among others).
