About
The Val‑Saint‑Esprit Charterhouse, known in French as Chartreuse du Val‑Saint‑Esprit, is a former Carthusian monastery located in Gosnay in the Pas‑de‑Calais department of northern France. Established in 1329, the charterhouse remained active until the French Revolution, when it was suppressed in 1791. The site is historically significant for its association with the Carthusian Order and its well‑preserved monastic architecture.
