30 kms East from the world-known city of CARCASSONNE, the vineyard lies in the heart of Appellation MINERVOIS , on LA LIVINIERE hillsides. It gently slopes down in terraces ( 5 to 10 % ) at an average altitude of 250 m, facing full south, sheltered from the North winds by the Black Mountain. Pebble top soil with a high percentage of clay, chalk and manganese, exceptional terroir due to the nature of its soil and its exposure. Our estate, respectful of the Nature, is certified "HIGH ENVIRONMENTAL VALUE "since 2014. With environmentally friendly farming practices, we enhance a complex biodiversity, ecologically healthy. This vineyard, established in the 18th Century, is the traditionnal Languedoc "Campagne" , this last term being understood as an estate including all the buildings-- master’s house, “ramonétage “ ( or employees’ lodgings) and the winery- surrounded by the vines, the whole forming a unit.
