Chateau Guadet
About
Château Guadet, Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion, is located in the centre of Saint-Émilion. The winery and the street where it is situated on, are named after Marguerite Elie Guadet, the leader of the Girondin fraction who was guillotined in 1794. Since 1844 the castle is the property of the Lignac family. Today it is run by the 7th generation of the family: Vincent and Guy-Pétrus Lignac. The castle is open for guided tours all year round. During the visit, we will reveal to you our know-how of winemaking and ageing of the fine wines. You will visit our vat room, our wine storeroom and you'll go down to our medieval monolith cellar full of memories of different ages: a real travel throughout the French history. Our wines are all organic biodynamic: with no pesticides, pure, aromatic, alive with a long ageing potential. We'll be happy to see you!
