Culina Hortus is a 100 % vegetarian gastronomic restaurant in the heart of Lyon, opened in 2016 by chef executive Nathan Clairon and culinary partners. Set on 38 Rue de l’Arbre Sec, the 120 m² venue blends French architectural heritage—vaults and exposed stone—with contemporary décor featuring wood, metal, polished concrete and raw earth. The menu is a seasonal celebration of vegetable‑centered cuisine, using produce sourced from local farms and premium ingredients such as French quinoa, mono‑varietal olive oils from Alexis Munoz, and local herbs and flowers. Patrons can enjoy a lunch or dinner “menu découverte” with a fixed price of €45 for lunch and €75 for dinner, complemented by a curated selection of fine wines, artisanal teas, sparkling juices, and specialty coffees. A wine list curated by the resident sommelière and a range of spirits round out the experience, enriching a relaxed ambience that insists on a smart dress code.
