Restaurant Cafe Du Soleil
About
The restaurant Café du Soleil is an institution of traditional Lyonnaise cuisine, an old accomplice of Guignol and Gnafron, of which he has been the neighbour since the 18th century, making it the oldest Lyon’s restaurant in the most ancient street of the oldtown. Everything here is homemade, from the Smoked Salmon to the Foie Gras passing by desserts, such as the iconic Floating Island and the Praline Pie. However, you should not miss to taste their famous and tasty Quenelles from the house, spoon moulded, prepared in the purest tradition, with veal fat, flour, egg and chair of pike, making them soft, airy and light. A whole menu is dedicated to them, this is how seriously the house takes the Quenelles! You can also taste Lyon’s specialities such as the Salade Lyonnaise, the Parfait de Foies de Volaille or the Tripes Lyonnaises. Push the door and let yourself serve warmly in the most authentic ways.
