Chateau d'Ige
About
Fitted out in a 13th century castle, the Château d’Igé is a true haven of peace and nature in the heart of the Mâconnais region. Located in the heart of the Mâconnais wine region in southern Burgundy, just 15 minutes from Mâcon and Cluny, 60 minutes from Lyon, 40 minutes from Beaune, and 30 minutes from Tournus, the Château d’Igé was built in the reign of King Saint-Louis, in 1235. Tastefully renovated when it was taken over by the Georges Blanc group, today it offers the charms of a medieval setting and all modern conveniences. The Château's wild 4-hectare park with a spring, a rose garden, a stream, a small bridge, an orchard and many ancient trees, invites you to take a walk and meditate just a few metres from the historical listed sites and the Burgundy vineyards.
