The village of Rasteau is ideally situated in Provence, just a stone throw away from Vaison-la-Romaine, at the heart of the southern Côtes du Rhône.It is dominated by the Mount Ventoux, the Prealps and the majestic Dentelles de Montmirail. This topographic diversity provides a multi-faceted land and a unique terroir, which explains how this typical village with ancestral history and patrimony has developed such strong winemaking tradition since the mid-1920s.Created in 1925, the Cave de Rasteau first became famous for its Grenache-based Vin Doux Naturel (fortified wine).The ORTAS wine range today offers a large array of wines, from Rasteau reds, Rasteau Vins Doux Naturels, Côtes du Rhône Villages and Côtes du Rhône régionaux.
