Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse is one of the most prestigious places of Paris, not only for its role in the history of the performing arts since the Theatre National Populaire of Jean Vilar ( its stage has seen the greatest comedians and dancers of the past sixty years ) but also for its role in the history of the world : the Universal Declaration of Human Rights has been signed on 10 December 1948 in the theater. The 2 venues can accommodate more than a thousand spectators and the "Foyer de la danse" overlooks the fountains of the Trocadero to the Eiffel Tower, offering day and night one of the most famous views of the world. The theater also houses a large collection of sculptures, paintings, pastels by the finest artists.
