Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione
About
The Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione, located in Paris’s 11th arrondissement, is the world’s oldest circus venue and a living monument of 19th‑century French theater architecture. Designed by Jacques Ignace Hittorff and inaugurated in 1852, its imposing oval hall with Corinthian columns and a self‑supporting dome evokes the grandeur of an indoor Colosseum. Over more than a century and a half, the arena has hosted vaudeville, opera, ballet, and contemporary pop concerts, becoming a beloved cultural landmark visited by millions. Modern audiences enjoy a rotating lineup of spectacular shows—from the classic high‑wire acts of “Tempo” to international music icons such as Nadiya and Alex Lutz—each performed on the famed 42‑metre ring and surrounded by 2,090 seats that offer an intimate yet soaring experience. The Cirque d’Hiver also welcomes private events, corporate galas, seminars and group celebrations, providing tailored packages and the opportunity to use its historic halls for unique occasions.
