Hotel d'Angleterre Saint Germain des Pres
About
Hotel d’Angleterre is a charming boutique hotel tucked into the historic heart of Paris’s Saint‑Germain‑des‑Prés district, on Rue Jacob. With only 26 elegantly appointed rooms, the hotel offers guests an intimate, home‑style experience while providing all the comforts of a 21st‑century accommodation. History enthusiasts will delight in the building’s rich past: it was the site of the British Embassy in 1783 during the signing of the Treaty of Paris, and has hosted literary legends such as Ernest Hemingway and the pioneering aviator Charles Lindbergh. The atmosphere is steeped in the romance of old Paris, yet the hotel maintains a contemporary, relaxed vibe. Breakfast is served at the hotel’s richly decorated lounge, available each morning from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. A complimentary buffet – featuring pastries, fruit, cheese, and eggs – is offered to guests who stay directly through the hotel’s website, by email or phone. The hotel’s friendly staff are readily available to help organise tours and excursions to the Louvre, Notre Dame, Orsay, Luxembourg Gardens, and other nearby attractions. While the hotel offers a wonderful, cosy setting and outstanding service, please note that it is currently not equipped to accommodate guests with reduced mobility.
