About
This genuine Tithe Barn built in the 13th century was a place where one 10th of Wissous farmer's crop was collected. The Tithe was the clergy's tax and some of it has been used to finish Paris Notre Dame building. The beautiful beams you can see are trees which have been floated from Morvan (Saulieu area) using the Cure, Yonne and Seine rivers. This size beam was made from a 200 years old oak.
