The Moulin is located at an altitude of 162 m, at the top of the Mont Trouillet hill which offers a wide panorama. The hill overhangs, in the South, the valley of the Seine which extends until Paris. To the north, the Montmorency valley is bordered to Saint-Leu by a ridge of wooded hills that gives the landscape a rural aspect. This contrasting landscape mixes today the charm of the past with modernity. Near the Mill, there is the Maison du Meunier. The whole is protected as a "site of artistic or picturesque character" by order of February 5, 1934. The mill is registered in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments since May 12, 1975.
