Petit Palais
About
The Petit Palais, an elegant 1900 exhibition hall turned museum, was completely renovated in 2005 to showcase an astonishing panorama of art from antiquity to the 20th century. The permanent collection is free and open to the public, spanning French–Italian Renaissance masterpieces, Flemish and Dutch paintings, and exquisite Art Nouveau works. Contemporary exhibitions rotate throughout the year, such as the current shows of Jean‑Baptiste Greuze, Bilal Hamdad, and Pekka Halonen, each offering a deep dive into their respective artistic traditions. Visitors may also experience the stunning auditorium, hosting concerts, conferences, and cultural events—accessible to all and open until 20 h on Fridays and Saturdays for special exhibitions. The museum welcomes families, students, researchers, and casual art lovers alike, providing a rich, inclusive cultural experience in the heart of Paris.
