The charming, family-owned Chateau d'Omiecourt is set in landscaped, 16-hectare grounds close to the Somme battlefields. The view over a verdant expanse (framed by century-old trees) induces a true sense of tranquillity and relaxation. This magical location is just 15 minutes away from the historic town of Peronne and its nature reserve around the ponds of the river Somme, 45 minutes from Amiens (with its magnificent Gothic cathedral) and Compiegne (with its "Chateau Imperial") and one hour from Paris and Lille. The Chateau d'Omiecourt offers a range of options for leisure breaks or business stopovers, with B&B and two comfortably furnished gites. The Chateau itself can accommodate 12 B&B guests, whereas the separate Ormieux gite can host up to 7 people (or even 11, with the adjoining "Palefrenier" Room). The new "Potager" gite can accommodate up to 6 guests. This is the first (and so far the only) gite in the Somme with a "4 epis" rating from Gites de France.
