About
This local museum is housed in Provins’ oldest stone building. It dates from the 12th century and is refered to as “the Romanesque House”. The museum presents many works of art belonging to Provins and its neighbourhood from neolithic times to the 19th century, including Merovingian sarcophagi, Greco-Roman statues, medieval ceramic, paintings, furniture, goldsmith crafted religious objects, and the famous 12th century chasuble of Saint Edme. Annual closure from 18 December 2023 to 6 January 2024.
