We will be happy to receive you in our house built towards the end of the 18th century, situated in Venerand (10 minutes from Saintes) at the top of a hill near some gallo-roman fountains and close to an 11th century church, surrounded by vineyards and woods. By car, we are at a 4- 1/2 hour drive from Paris, taking the A10 motorway (exit St-Jean-d'Angely, and then taking the N 150 main road toward Saintes). In the area you will be able to visit Saintes, famous for its roman churches and gallo-roman archway and circus, the Paleosite in Saint-Cesaire (8 km) and the famous Cognac cellars (25 km) and on the nearby coast (40 km): Royan, the Palmyre Zoo, the Wild Coast, Oleron Island, etc. Bordeaux is a 1- 1/2 hour drive away.
