Surrounded by vineyards and fields, Le Vieux Monastere is a group of seven independent and intimate holiday cottages ideal for a family holiday. LVM is located between La Rochelle, Ile de Ré and Cognac, and very close to the historic towns of Saintes and St Jean d´Angély. The grounds of LVM are mostly lawned and provide a safe and secure environment for children, allowing parents to relax and enjoy our location and facilities in peace. Our accommodations have been designed to combine the comforts of home with the rustic charm of a stay in a traditional French country cottage and they are all well equipped. We have kept attractive elements such as exposed oak beams and stone walls, while finishing the kitchens and bathrooms with contemporary fittings, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene. The cottages are all located within the enclosed grounds of the monastery, and, due to LVM exceptional position, they offer wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. We offer the following facilities which are all included in the price so you won’t find any hidden extras: Kitchens include full oven and hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a microwave oven. The living areas have comfortable sofas, a dining area, satellite TV, and DVD player. The high-speed wifi is accessible in all the cottages ideal for working remotely. Each cottage includes a private garden table and barbecue. Sheets and towels are provided. Baby cots, high chairs, and baby baths are available upon prior request. One of our 4 sleeps cottages is all on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. Animals are not permitted within LVM but one of our 8 sleeps cottages facing outside LVM with a private entrance can welcome animals with prior approval required from us.
