About ten kilometers north of Sarlat-la-Canédat in black Périgord, stop in Saint-Crepin-et-Carlucet to visit the castle Lacypierre, built between the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries on a stump of the thirteenth century . He successively belonged to Ferriere, vassals Knights of Salignac, then to Benié of Lacypierre, family of civil and military officers who gave it their name. It is a true manor sarladaise that emerges from the forest when you arrive. The building, constructed on either side of a hexagonal tower housing the staircase, also has a square tower with a dovecote and a slate roof. The central body is pierced with transom windows. After visiting the area freely Castle Lacypierre, discover the exhibition explaining the restoration work to save the building. In summer, you can visit the castle, fully furnished and inhabited by the owners.
