La Villa des Consuls
About
La Villa des Consuls is a charming gîte perched in the heart of the medieval city of Sarlat, a jewel of the Périgord Noir. The property spans three historic buildings from the 13th, 17th and 19th centuries, offering five elegantly furnished rooms and nine spacious apartments – many boasting private terraces and fully equipped kitchens. Guests are welcomed year‑round, with check‑in commencing at 2:30 p.m. (2:00 p.m. outside the high season) and checkout at 11:00 a.m. The gîte’s stone‑hall welcomes guests with a continental breakfast served daily from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., featuring locally sourced bread, pastries, fresh fruit, jams, honey, and a selection of cheeses and cold cuts. The warm, rustic interiors pair perfectly with the lively, pedestrian streets of Sarlat, placing the Villa just steps from historic landmarks such as the Chapel of the White Penitents, the bustling market, and the Musée de la Gabelle. Whether you’re a couple seeking a romantic retreat, a family looking for a relaxed base for exploring the Dordogne, or a solo traveller eager to immerse yourself in French heritage, La Villa des Consuls offers authentic comfort, friendly local service and an unbeatable location in one of France’s most picturesque villages.
