L'Atelier le Thiers
About
This historic French knife‑making workshop invites visitors to craft their own Le Thiers pocket knife with the help of seasoned artisans. Located in the heart of Thiers, the capital of cutlery, the studio offers hands‑on sessions from April to September, available from Tuesday to Saturday. Each one‑hour session—ideal for all skill levels—includes instruction on knife design, tool use, and the unique folding mechanism of Le Thiers knives. For children aged 5‑9, a dedicated tartineur session is available. Advanced participants may book a three‑hour “Master Coutelier” workshop, exploring intricate techniques with expert guidance. After completing a session, guests can have their knives engraved with their name, taking home a striking piece of French craftsmanship.
