Beautiful historic Chateau with a 4ha walled garden,built in late 17th century.The Chateau is located in a peaceful rural environment south of the Loire.Walking through the park you can enjoy the beautiful view over the fields of the Loire.The Chateau is our passion as well as receiving our guests who come from all over the world.Come and enjoy this region and experience the beautiful environment and the calm atmosphere of this historical place.PLease inform us of any special requests.We can accommodate children as well as the elderly.History : The oldest part of the chateau was built as a wine house in 1668.From a height of 10 metres the grapes were dropped into the [manmade] caves below, where there were two wine presses. The first owner was Philippe Barateau, a lawyer who defended convicted protestants by means of the Religion Pretendue Reformee, and opened his house to them .A century later the middle part of the house was added .About 1850 the third part was built, which has noticeable more spacious rooms and high ceilings
