Located in an exceptional setting in the middle of the Indre river, charm, space and extreme tranquility await you ... Private wooded estate of 100ha - independent from the gîte. Terrace over the water with garden furniture in the evening sun, garden area with outdoor table and charcoal barbecue. WIFI. Available on site: fishing (fishing licence required), canoeing or rowing, sandbanks around the mill, walks, observation of local wildlife. To be shared (with 2 other gîtes) in the outbuildings 200m away: swimming pool, table soccer, table tennis, badminton. Due to the unsafe surroundings and immediate proximity of the river, we strongly advise against families with children under 5 and/or those unable to swim. 3km away: bakeries, restaurants, supermarket, bar-tabac. 15km maximum by car: château d'Azay le Rideau, Ronsard's home: Le prieuré St Cosme, Balzac's house museum in Saché and its 12th-century inn (gourmet restaurant), gardens & château de Villandry, Montbazon fortress with its medieval entertainment and waterside restaurants, château de Candé and its summer exhibitions - it's all within easy reach!
