Bad Malente is located in one of Germany's largest nature parks. The hostel nestles in a beautiful lakeland area. The four buildings are located on a large peninsula. The hostel's large grounds, with a stretch of forest, fruit trees, an area for playing football and playing field, has its own swimming area and a campfire site. The lakes are ideal for sailing, canoeing and pedal boating or enjoying beautiful bike rides along the picturesque lakefront. The hostel has 202 beds, divided between four buildings. It offers mostly 4-bed to 8-bed rooms with sink, showers/toilets are directly allocated to the rooms, separate rooms for group leaders, club room for leaders, 8 common rooms, a TV room, W-LAN, games room for small children, 6.5 hectares of land with forest, apple orchard and large lawns, area for playing football, volleyball court, table tennis, table football and various barbecue facilities.
