In honor of the famous astronomer Johann Gottfried Galle - 1812 in the Pabsthaus Radis born near Gräfenhainichen - the Galle monument was unveiled in 1977. bile followed the calculations of the French astronomer and mathematician Urbain Leverrier and discovered the planet Neptune in 1846 at the Berlin observatory.
