Meissen Porcelain Manufactory (Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen GmbH) is Europe’s oldest hard‑paste porcelain factory and a living museum that invites visitors to discover 300 years of ceramic art and the science behind it. Located at Talstraße 9, 01662 Meissen, the museum showcases the evolution of the iconic crossed‑sword logo, the first European “white gold”, and hosts themed exhibitions such as Artists in Residence, the Swan Service, and the world’s first porcelain organ. The attraction is complemented by hands‑on demonstration workshops, a café serving traditional German fare, and a live‑factory where visitors can watch porcelain production in real time. A typical visit of about 90 minutes lets guests explore the factory’s production halls, the Museum of the Meissen Porcelain Foundation, and participate in a guided tour of the workshop if they book in advance.
