About

The baroque hunting castle of Groß Schonebeck was built in its present form under the regency of Prussia's "soldier king" Friedrich Wilhem I.. Today, in its upper story it houses a part of the permanent exhibition "Jagd und Macht" (Of Hunt and Power). The castle and its grounds are literally made for many occasions: before or after your visit at the exhibitions, you can have a piece of cake or a cup of coffee. Many a couple changed rings in our wedding room on the castles first floor with its wonderful ceiling and wooden fireplace. Over the year, a variety of concerts and readings take place. Our other buildings house the main part of the "Jagd und Macht" exhibition, and also the Tourist Information.
