About
Kanutouren im Wilden Süden e.K. is a family‑run kayaking and canoeing company that has operated on the Lauter and Danube rivers in the Swabian Alb for over 40 years. The company is led by the Schmack family—Gabriele, Johanna, Vincent and Valerie—and employs around 30 staff, many of whom are local, with additional crew from Spain and Brazil. Guided river tours as well as a welcoming beer garden and restaurant at the Bootshaus am Lauter are offered. The Bootshaus, located on Fürstenbergstraße 2 in Münsingen‑Bichishausen, features a seasonal menu, a free e‑bike charging station and a relaxed atmosphere for friends, families and cyclists. While kayaking tours on the Lauter were discontinued for 2024, the Bootshaus remains open from April to the end of the season.
