About

The DJH-Youth Hostel in the city of Emden is idyllically located in a medieval rampart, at the "Kesselschleuse", a unique lock (water navigation) in Europe. Here our visitors can stay overnight in an authentic "Schleusenknechtehaus", a house where servants of the water navigation lived in former times. The youth hostel is freshly renovated and directly at the water. The center of Emden is just a 15-minutes-walk away from the youth hostel. The open-air swimming pool is just around the corner and also the East Frisian islands are not far.
