About
Weissenstein Castle is the summerpalace of the Counts of Schönborn for more than 300 years. Built by Princebishop Lothar Franz von Schönborn it was never destroyed in any war. Famous artists and architects, like Johann Dientzenhofer, Giovanni Francesco Marchini or Franz Michael Rottmayer worked here and created an astonishing residence. The Castle also contains a collection of paintings of that period, e.g. Rubens, van Dyck and many more.
