This is the birthplace of the Ruhr industry: The St. Antony-Hütte (Ironworks). In 1758 iron ore flowed for the first time in the Ruhr region. Today the site tells of the exciting beginnings of the iron and steel industry, of the important innovations and of the hard life of the people who worked there. The playground next to the museum ensures that an excursion to the St. Antony-Hütte (Ironworks) is also an experience for young guests.
