Holbein’s Café Restaurant, situated within the historic Städel Museum, has been closed for extensive renovation since July 1, 2025. The kitchen, dining areas, roof, terrace, and sanitation facilities are being upgraded, and the interior will receive a completely new design. A fresh culinary concept is planned for a grand reopening next year. While the restaurant remains closed, visitors can still enjoy the Café at the Städel Museum and the nearby Café at the Liebieghaus. This temporary closure offers guests a chance to experience the museum’s art without interruption, while bright new dining plans are being prepared for future visits.
