Kaiserin Elisabeth Museum
About
We are pleased that you are interested in the Empress Elisabeth Museum. It is the only one of its kind in Germany. The young empress spent her summer holidays with her parents and siblings in Possenhofen. She and members of her family as well as kings, emperors and nobility spent some time in the magnificent state salon - which is now used by the museum. At that time, this room served as the arrival and departure waiting room of the historic Possenhofen train station from 1865. The museum has 4 rooms that are barrier-free. It can also be reached barrier-free with the S6 Munich - Tutzing, stop Possenhofen. The valuable exhibits will impress you. Special tours lasting approx. 1 hour are offered. Even children will be excited to learn more about Empress "Sisi".
