Hidden in a side street of the Schanzenviertel - between the Red Flora and Lärchenwache - is the Bistro Carmagnole. Carmagnole? Is not this a city in northern Italy? As a matter of fact! But 'La Carmagnole' is the name of one of the most famous songs of the French Revolution, which represents the birth of modern French cuisine.
