Speicherstadt Kaffeeroesterei
About
Speicherstadt Kaffeerösterei is a lively café & roastery tucked inside Hamburg’s historic Speicherstadt district. Since 2006 the 250‑square‑meter oak‑lined warehouse, originally a 19th‑century storage building, has welcomed visitors with a live roasting area where beans are roasted in a rotary drum right before their eyes. In the same space a barista bar serves freshly brewed coffee, espresso, and a seasonal menu of bagels, croissants, salads, cakes and waffles – a full coffee‑centric experience. The roastery itself traces its heritage back to 1994 in Colombia, and today it showcases an award‑winning “color system” – a five‑color labeling scheme that visually guides guests through the flavour profile of each brew. The café is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 (with earlier closing on special holidays) and offers a 20 % discount to holders of the HamburgCard Kulinarik.
