Burg Katzenstein Dear visitor to the Katzenstein Castle, The Walter family and their staff would like to warmly welcome you to the historical Staufer Katzenstein Castel. The Katzenstein Castel lies at the lower edges of the Hartsfeld, between wild and romantic Katzenbach and Egautal. The Castle was partially destroyed by a fire in the year 1995 and was closed thereafter. On 1. April 2006, my Husband and I opened the castle`s door to the public, again after an intensive three month period of renovation. We have fallen in love with this historical monument and feel it is our duty to protect it. You too may take part in this historical journey. We would like you to feel at ease and for your stay to be a special experience. We want to share this Historical Journey with you.
