Teestube am Hafen
About
Our tea room at the harbor, that Adde-Röben-Hus ... the history of our house begins in 1764. At this time, the namesake "Adde Röben" took over the lease of the east end of the island, which was then divided into two districts. The captain Johannes Hoffrogge, a great-great-great-grandson of Adde Röben, took up the family tradition of running an inn and built the East Frisian tea room in 1967, which he named after his ancestor. With the tea room the connection to one's own ancestors should be maintained. In 1981 the Wilken family acquired the tea room and ran it on their own until 1993. In December 2019, the Wilken family sold the property to Horst Schmidt, a great-nephew of Johannes Hoffrogge. After extensive renovation and refurbishment work, we continue to run the "old tea room" in the old tradition, together with our children Philipp & Louise, parallel to our Langeoog coffee roastery in the town center!
