About
The Schöne Brunnen, literally "Beautiful Fountain", sits proudly in the historic Hauptmarkt of Nürnberg. Built in the late 14th century shortly after the Market Hall and the Frauenkirche, the fountain has evolved into a beloved city symbol. Its most striking feature is the seamless golden ring incorporated into the stone lattice, said to grant wishes when their wish slips into the water. An accompanying audio guide, available in German and English, invites visitors to learn about the fountain’s medieval origins and its contemporary cultural significance.
