The Vineta Museum in the city of Barth is located in a former merchant's house from the 18th century. The historic building served, among other things, as the city's town hall from 1870 to 1946. The Barther Museum documents history and personalities from art, literature and science on four floors. The lost city of Vineta in myth and fact is the focus of a small section on the upper floor. Regular special exhibitions create connections to the region and beyond. Cultural events, museum festivals and the long museum night complement the range of offerings in this active and lively exhibition hall.
