Welcome to Weinhaus Michel the only pub in the old town of Mainz where the bartender serves his own wine. Stefan Michel comes from Weinolsheim near Nierstein, where his family has been growing wine since 1756. We've been into ecological wine-growing for years, and we use organic fertilizers, for example. Since food keeps body and soul in harmony, we offer lots of great things to eat, from Mainzer Spundekas to our done-in-the-pan meals to tasty dessert of Cherries, Michel-style. Our "wine personalities" are very special; they lovelingly describe the characters of our wine. Astrid and Stefan Michel and their team wish you a fantastic time in the heart of Mainz's old town.
