Where wine tradition, archaeology, and innovation meet. Afianes Wines was created with love and artistry in 1997 in Raches of Ikaria. Formed by Nikos and Maria Afianes, their two children, Konstantinos and Eftychia, continue the family legacy. Today, 22 years later, Afianes Wines has established themselves worldwide as unique and special of their kind. Utilizing only the indigenous grape varietals of Ikaria, we have focused on evolving the traditional wine making methods, with minimum to zero intervention alongside honoring the principals of Biodynamic and Bioculture. We believe in the environement and the force of the nature. Our main aim is to preserve the terroir of our land and to make wines of quality and health, as after all, "We are only passengers to this great trip." Guided Tours and wine tastings are available daily from 12:30-10:30 pm, reservation required. We offer many unique wine experiences available for booking online, as well as a beautiful wine bar onsite.
